Flights from Doncaster to UK
Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands situated just off the Normandy coast of north-west France. It is governed independently and is not part of the UK. However, the main language is English, cars drive on the left and the currency is sterling (GBP). Jersey is a small, yet beautiful island with a rugged coastline on the English Channel side to the north, and long sandy bays on the Golfo de Saint Malo side to the south. There are plenty of things to see and do, including the Jersey War Tunnels, Mont Orgueil and Elizabeth Castles, and many museums and gardens. Along with lots of beautiful walks and cycling trails, there are several fantastic beaches at St Berade’s Bay, St Ouen’s Bay, Grouville Bay and St Aubin’s Bay to name a few. The capital St Helier has all the amenities of any major town and has plenty of bars and restaurants to entertain during the evenings.
The airport is just over 7km west north-west of St Helier. There is an inexpensive, comfortable regular bus service between the airport and the capital. Taxis cost around £12. Car hire is also available.
