Flights from Doncaster to Turkey
Located on the south-western Mediterranean coast of Turkey, Antalya is one of Turkey's largest cities and the third most visited city in the world in 2011. It is blessed by fantastic weather, ancient sites and blue flag beaches. On entering the superb old town district of Kaleici through Hadrian's Gate you'll find a plethora of restaurants, bars, shops, quaint backstreets and hotels. There are events throughout the year in Cumhuriyet Square, along with a city beach at Lara with several fabulous hotels. A short drive are the beach resorts of Side and Belek with several luxury hotels lining the beaches. Side has great ruins, theatres and temples, whilst Belek has become a golfing mecca.
The airport is 13km north-west of the city. A taxi costs around 15-20 euros into the city centre, or approx 50 euros to Belek or 70 to Side.
Buses run frequently into town and are inexpensive, alternatively car hire is a good option especially if you want to get out and about.

Dalaman is the gateway to the Lycian Coast resorts in the south-west of Turkey. It is nestled between the mountains and the beaches in an area of outstanding beauty. Olu-Deniz to the south is arguably the most beautiful beach area in the whole of Turkey with its blue lagoon and white sands. Nearby Fethiye is a lively town with a picturesque harbour area. The cosmopolitan resort of Icmeler is to the north and has a mix of beautiful beaches and seafront hotels, along with many bars and restaurants. Marmaris is the largest resort in the area and is rightfully the party capital with numerous bars and clubs, but there is also a lovely old town and it is home to Turkey's largest marina.
Dalaman airport is close to the sea to the south of the city. Taxis can be quite expensive at around 60-70 euros one-way to Olu Deniz or Icmeler, so it's best to either share a transfer or go for car hire if you haven't pre-booked or included in a package.
