Sharm el Sheikh is a Red Sea tourist resort on the southern tip of the Sanai peninsula in Egypt. At the cultural heart of the resort is Naama Bay where there are large hotels, a superb beach and great nightlife. Sharm is a year-round destination with warm temperatures and clear skies throughout the winter and high temperatures during the summer months. This is a paradise for beach lovers and in particular water sports enthusiasts. The stunning coral reefs and underwater scenery attract scuba divers from all over the world. Trips into the desert on quad bikes and camel rides are some of the other fantastic experiences on offer.

The airport is located 18km north-east of Sharm. Taxis to Naama Bay should cost around 20 LE. Mini-buses and local tuk tuk buses are a cheap way of getting around the resort.
