Majorca Travel Guide

Majorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands located off the east coast of Spain. Palma is the island’s capital and liveliest city with its many restaurants, bars, cafes, beaches, marina, port and historic places of interest. Magaluf is close by for the 24hr crowd, and further afield there is Pollenca, Alcudia, Cala Millor and Cala d’Or amongst other beautiful beach resorts. Smaller inland towns are also worth a trip as is the mountain train from Palma to Soller and the Coves del Drach (Dragon Caves).

The airport is 8km east of Palma and there are frequent bus services into the capital which cost around 2 euros. A taxi will cost around 18-20 euros into Palma and approx 65-70 euros to Alcudia on the east coast.
