Corfu Travel Guide

Corfu is the second largest of the Ionian Islands located off the west coast of Greece. Corfu Town is the main commercial centre and is where the cruise ships and ferries dock, as well as the island’s main airport. The north of the island is quite mountainous and is where most of the tourist resorts can be found. Among the more well-established resorts are Sidari, Roda, Kassiopi, San Stefanos and Ypsos. The south is flatter and less populated, but there are lovely sandy beaches and a few resorts, notably the lively town of Kavos.

The airport is located 3km south of Corfu Town. A taxi costs around 13-15 euros into town. KTEL coach buses provide a good service from the town to most of the Island’s resorts. Car Hire is also available at the airport.
