BOURGAS

Bourgas is a large town situated on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. The town itself is surrounded by lakes and has places of interest as well as beaches and small islands to visit. Bourgas is also the main airport serving the resorts of Sunny Beach and St Vlas. Sunny Beach is the largest resort in Bulgaria with many large hotels spanning the length of the bay, and several hundred clubs and bars. Varna to the north is also a large beach resort and cultural centre. Nessebar is a beautiful historic town at the southern end of Sunny Beach and is a UNESCO World Heritage Centre.

Bourgas airport is to the north of the town. It is best advice to book transfers by shuttle bus or taxi in advance to get the best rates. As a guide a taxi should cost around 30-40 leva to Sunny Beach.
