Alicante Travel Guide

Alicante is a tourist city located in the south of the Costa Blanca region of Eastern Spain. It has great beaches and a bustling waterfront area, as well as a lovely Old Town quarter and the Castle of Santa Barbara overlooking the city. Alicante is also the gateway to other beach resorts such as Benidorm (with its beautiful bay and fantastic waterpark), Javea, Calpe and Denia. The area has a fantastic climate, the sea is warm and inviting and there are plenty of cultural events throughout the year.

The airport is located 11km south of the city and if you don’t have a transfer included there are buses that depart every 20 minutes, or a taxi costs around 20-25 euros.
